Secondary hydrocarbon generation exists in many sedimentary basins in the east of china. This paper mainly discusses the computer numerical simulation method of secondary hydrocarbon generation templates established by pyrolytic simulation experiments. It also makes some improvements to the conventional method and applies it to the quantitative evaluation of secondary hydrocarbon generation of asingle well. The result shows that the improved method, because of its good utility, not only simplifies the evaluation process, but also increases the evaluation's veracity and reliability.
