Oil and gas resources as an important strategic resource is tightly related to the socio-economic development and national energy security. Thus, it is an inevitable requirement for China′s modernization to safeguard the continued supply of oil and gas resources. The oil and gas resources in science and technology are irreplaceable important in the oil and gas exploration, development, and protection of oil and gas supply. In this paper, we elaborate the correlation between science and technology and oil and gas exploration and development, collect the files about the development strategy of oil and gas science and technology in the major countries and regions and the development plan of oil and gas science and technology in the important cross-border oil and gas companies.Then, we sum up the six characteristics of the science and technology development of international oil and gas resources and eight potential developingtendencies, and conclude the current oil and gas resources in science and technology into four areas and seven questions. Finally, we point out the sevensuggestions and advices for the future development of oil and gas resources in science and technology in China, in combination with the current developmentsituation.
