Application of Forward Solution Model in Identifying Volcanic Reservoir:A Case of Permian Volcanic Reservoir in Wuxia Area of Junggar Basin

At the bottom of the Permian Fengcheng Formation in northwest rim X72 block of the Junggar basin, the volcanic reservoir is developed. It is hard to identify and predict the volcanic reservoir because of the deep buried and complex seismic data. In this paper, we design two different geologic models to qualitatively demonstrate the seismic response characteristics of the volcanic reservoir after the fine calibration of the volcanic reservoir. We use the forward solution method to not only identify the continued, low velocity, and strong reflection, but also predict another set of volcanic reservoir under the Fengcheng Formation. This result will offer the strong evidence to predict the reservoir and plot well.
