Turpan-Hami basin is a typical multicycle and multiplex basin, it has both the character of depression basin and that of rifted basin. The lithologic pool such as that developed in the actic region while the basin is rifting or in the glacis region while the basin is depressing all which can be found in this basin. Five kinds of sedimentary facies and thirteen sedimentary parfacies can be found in the Shengbei concave during the period of Jurassic series and Cretaceous series. Based on the research of succession of strata and the sedimentary parfacies, it shows that such as braided stream delta front submersed channel, alluvial middle fan rival chanel, fan delta front submersed channel and front-shallow lake beach and dam are mainly areas of lithologic pool developing.
