The prediction of remaining oil saturatio n distribution is the most important research aspect during high water-bearing periods. It determines the scheme of secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil rec overy evaluation. One of the effective method is to adopt stochastic simulation for fine reservoir description and establish several fine geology models taking full advantage well testing data. The appropriate model is selected by fine rese rvoir modeling and comparing its result and the actual data. Finally, the remain ing oil saturation distribution is predicted through numeric simulation using wa ter displacing oil streamline simulator. Examples indicate that this method can be carried out rapidly with high precision, and can be widely applied.
