    The paper analyzes the hydrocarbon accumulation of gas pools in the western Sichuan foreland basin,northern Qaidam thrust and southern Junggar foreland basin.It indicates that the oil-gas fields were formed by multi-stage filling and that the gas pools accumulated in the late stages of the foreland basins.There were two most important stages for oil-gas accumulation in the foreland basins of central and western China,one was the Late Yanshanian movement when oil and gas accumulated mainly from Permian.

    The sand bodies of the braided delta front are the main sandstone reservoirs of the Xujiahe formation in the western Sichuan foreland basin.The sand bodies are consisted of quartz sandstone and lithic sandstone with abundant impurity and lithic fragment.Field observation and(cast) thin-section analysis indicate: the reservoir of area is low porosity and low permeable reservoir.The main type of pores is the secondary porosity.The result of the successive research indicate: the types of reservoir in Xujiahe.

    Yanji basin is located in the west of south Tianshan Orogenic Belt and is a Mesozoic-Cenozoic basin on the folded base in Hercynian period.As a small Jurassic petroleum basin in the northwest area,Yanji basin,which is similar to the surrounding basins auch as Tarim,Tuha basin,owns its peculiar petroleum geology conditions.The Mesozoic prototype basin had the depositional evolution characteristics of rension-twist faulted basin.Its structural deformation with the features of compression and strike-slip.

    Based on the study of clay mineral types,characters of rock frameworks and grains,wettability of the rocks,conductance of special heavy minerals,the origin of low resistivity reservoir of Qiangjiang formation in Qiangjiang sag is identified: rock’s character of reservoir has a little infection on the formation of low resistivity reservoir;irreducible water content in the rock is the major factor;the odditional conductivity caused by mud and clay and incursion of the mud filtrate are the minor factors.

    The geochemistry of formation water is a common way to trace the fluid flow and hydrocarbon accumulation.This paper focused on the space distribution of the geochemistry of the formation water in Songliao basin and its indication for the water-rock interaction processes.The Cl~――HCO~-_3 and Na~+-K~+-Ca~(2+) relationships show that the initial water-rock interaction was the dissolution of NaCl and calcium-bearing carbonate,which resulted in the increasing of Na~+-K~+-Ca~(2+)-Cl~-and salinity.The succeeding.

    According to outcrop data,the Jurassic source rocks were developed wide in Washixia depression,southeast of Tarim basin,and Ruocan 1 Well was one of the most important exploration wells in this area.By geochemical method,the nature gas origin was analysed and the source rocks in this area were evaluated on base of present data.The content of CH_4 in Well Ruocan 1 was fairly high,belonging to typical dry-gas;and isotope of C_2H_6 indicated its nonmarine origin,sourced from Jurassic coal-bearing rocks.
