Unconventional oil and gas resources have become one of the new fields of oil and gas exploration in Junggar Basin.On the basis of the Permian Lucaogou Formation in Jimusar Sag,research was carried out on the geological conditions for shale oil formation and enrichment,“sweet area” evaluation and prediction techniques.By summarizing the exploration achievements of the shale oil from the Lucaogou Formation in the Jimusar Depression in recent years,key geological conditions for the formation of shale oil sweet area are obtained:(1)Widely distributed source rocks with high quality;(2)Sweet sections with good physical properties are developed in dense reservoir;(3)Thin source-reservoir interbeds in source rock series formed the effective reservoir-forming assemblages in source.It is demonstrated that the sweet area of Lucaogou Formation shale oil is controlled by factors of source rock,lithology,physical property,oil-bearing property,sensitivity,brittleness and in-situ stress anisotropy.Guided by the geological demand of “sweet area” distribution,a set of multi-parameter “sweet area” distribution prediction technology is formed,which covers geology,logging,geophysical prospecting and engineering.The geological knowledge of formation enriches the theoretical understanding of continental shale oil geology in China.Relevant technical methods can provide reference for shale oil evaluation in other areas of Junggar Basin and continental basins in China.
