The Characteristics of Depositional Facies and Their Influence on Reservoir Properties in Fudong Slope,Junggar Basin

After detailed description of cores in 24 wells,rocks of Jurassic Sangonghe Formation developed in Fudong slope are divided into 7 lithofacies,i.e.,conglomerate rock facies,glutenite facies,coarse sandstone facies,medium sandstone facies,fine sandstone facies,siltstone facies,and mudstone facies.Based on lithofacies,sedimentary sequences of underwater distributary channel,underwater inter-channel,sheetstone microfacies are established in virtue of integrated analysis of sections and well logging,including characteristics of lithofacies association of each microfacies,logging patterns and sedimentary structures.And then the research on deposition of Jurassic Sangonghe Formation is carried out through depiction of single well facies,profile facies,and plane facies.Braided river delta frontier,mainly developed in the study area,appears as water progression to water retreat from first section to second section and then to third section of Sangonghe Formation.Unconspicuous variation of lake shoreline implies steady tectonics and weak fluctuation of water in Sangonghe Formation,consequently that sandstone thickness is mainly controlled by sediment supply.Sandstone thickness tapers from second section to first section then to third section for gradually reducing sediment supply.Reservoir properties are obviously controlled by deposition.Well sort and low mud content of reservoir rocks in underwater distributary channel and sheetstone for powerful water force make them develop abundant primary porosity and offer formation condition of carbonate cements,which can offset compaction,then retain intergranular volume because of subsequent solution.
