A possible mechanism of organic pores evolution in shale: A case from Dalong Formation,Lower Yangtze area

Abstract

Organic pores structures and their possible evolution mechanisms were analyzed by Ar-ion milling/scanning electron microscope after thermal simulation experiment.Several kinds of organic pores including girdle pores,circular pores and spongy pores appeared during the thermal simulation process.This result shows that there are several different mechanisms in organic pores evolution.Girdle pore is a typical pore structure in particular period of hydrocarbons generation,and the girdle structure is organic matter-mineral complex where the hydrocarbons generate.It is also the first time to observe the organic matter-mineral complex.
