Analysis of the Causes of Anomalously High Porosity Zones and Prediction of the Favorable Reservoirs under Overpressure in Qibei Sub-sag,Bohai Bay Basin

In order to predict the distribution of favorable reservoirs in the tight sandstones with low porosity and low permeability under high temperature and high pressure in Qibei Sub-sag,Bohai Bay Basin,core porosity analysis data were used to show the vertical distribution of anomalously high porosity zones and the causes of them,and numerical diagenetic modeling and sedimentary facies analysis were used to predict the diagenetic stages of EsL1 and favorable reservoir zones.The results show,four zones with anomalously high porosity were discovered in the depth ranges of 2 300-2 740m,3 000-3 400m,3 600-4 200m,and 4 400-4 950m.They are caused by meteoric water leaching,organic acid resolving,and overpressure's retardation to diagenesis.Both the area developing sandstones in early diagenetic stage B-middle diagenetic stage A1 and the area developing sandstones in middle diagenetic stage A2 but under the environment of overpressure which could preserve the secondary pores formed in geohistory are the favorable area of reservoirs,where high-quality reservoirs are developed,including the Mapengkou area and the Area to the east of Gangdong fault.
