Microscopic Characteristic and Its Influences on Reservoirs from the Su 48 Block in the West Sulige Gas Field

According to the analytical data of rock thin sections, casting thin sections, scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, high-pressure mercury injection and nuclear magnetic resonance of reservoir sandstone from the He8-Shan1 members of the western Su 48 block in the Sulige gas field, Ordos basin.Reservoir microscopic characteristics of He8-Shan1 members have been finely characterized.Research shows that the sandstone is mainly dominated by lithic quartz-sandstone and quartz sandstone.The main pore types of He8 reservoir are intergranular pore, sedimentation rock fragment pore and intercrystalline pore, with large inscribed circle radii, more effective pores and pore volume.Main pore types in Shan1 are sedimentation rock fragment pore, intercrystalline pore, tuffaceous pore and feldspar solution pore, with smaller inscribed circle radii.The throat types of He8-Shan1 reservoir are bundled tubes throat, lamellar throat and punctual throat, with medium-poor sorting feature.Fine characterization results from throat radius and saturation of mobile fluid provided by high pressure Hg injection and MRI divide the study area into four types, and clearly show that the reservoir differences are caused by debris compositions, pore type, pore structure and heterogeneity.
