Reservoir Characteristics of Chang 4+5 Member and Their Genesis in Ziwuling Area

Chang 4+5 Member of Yanchang Formation is a future target for the oil and gas exploration in the Ziwuling area. It is important for founding the high-quality reservoirs and elucidating the forming factor in the low permeability sandstone setting. We use the petrology,micropore structure and heterogeneity to discuss the controlling factors of sedimentary faces and diagenesis to the Chang 4+5 reservoir in the Ziwuling area. The results show that the poor physical property of reservoir would be related to the stronger heterogeneity. The reservoir physical property is strongly constrained by various types of rocks,sedimentary micro faces,and diagenesis. Some of sandstone reservoirs with high permeability in the local areas are co-controlled by sedimentation and late diagenesis. The composite area of oil and gas with high permeability will be a favorable area for oil exploration.
