Distribution Characteristics of Fluid Pressure in Lixian Slope, Raoyang Subbasin and Its Impact on Hydrocarbon Accumulations

Accurately predicting the pressure underground could not only decrease drilling risks, but also indicate the migration path of oil and gas. According to the measured data and theoretical calculation, fluid pressure in Lixian slope can be divided into 4 types:Normal type, single-high type, two-high type and single-high low type. It is dominated by normal pressure, but abnormal pressure exists in certain depth. High abnormal pressure mainly occurs around Renxi sub-sag and Suning sub-sag in inner belt of the slope, while low abnormal pressure exits around Gaoyang fault and north of the slope. High abnormal pressure appears in deep beds, especially in source beds, while normal pressure appears in upper layer and few low abnormal pressures show at shallow depth. The direction of hydrocarbon migration is mainly laterally. It migrates along the nose structure to outer belt of the slope and accumulates.
