Theoretical Derivation and Comparison Study of the Reasonable Limit Injection Production Spacing for Low Permeability Reservoirs

Thin pore throats, large specific surface area and large percolation resistance of low permeability reservoirs and start-up pressure gradient increase the difficulties of water\|injection development. So, building efficient driving systems between injection well and production well must conquer the influence of the start-up pressure gradient. Based on percolation theory, two methods are adopted to derive the limit injection\|production spacing of the low permeability reservoir. According to the relative experienced formulas established in different low permeability reservoirs in China, the limit spacing is calculated under different permeability and different injection\|production pressure differences.
