Well Logging Evaluation of Carboniferous Volcanic Reservoirs in Niudong Block, Santanghu Basin

Taking the logging evaluation in Niudong block of Santanghu basin C2k volcanic reservoirs as an example, and using logging and oil production test data combined with coring drilling, comprehensive logging and laboratory analytical data and other related materials, this paper describes the basic principles and methods of the conventional logging in evaluation of volcanic reservoirs, and determines the standards for volcanic lithology identification. It also determines the lower limit standards of effective reservoirs in the region by studying volcanic reservoir porosity, permeability and oil saturation, in combination with crossplot of test oil and test mining layer. Practical application shows that the parameters established by the logging volcanic reservoir model can be used in the quantitative evaluation of the volcanic reservoirs. Based on improving the accuracy of lithology identification, the using of log data can effectively predict volcanic reservoir properties and oil and gas. This method has instructed the local exploration production effectively for Niudong block.
