Characteristics of Abnormally High Porosity Zone andFavorable Reservoir Facies Prediction in Deep Cenozoic Horizon of Qingshui Sag

Abstract

The measured porosity data and the observations of thin sections and blue epoxy resin-impregnated thin sections show that the diagenesis in the Qingshui sag can be divided into two stages and five substages. There exist three abnormally high porosity zones vertically in the Cenozoic reservoirs in the Qingshui sag, Liaohe Depression, whose genesis is related to the eluviation of precipitation and the dissolution of organic acid. The diagenetic stages and the vertical distribution of diagenetic facies have been predicted through numerical simulation. By the way of superposing the diagenetic facies map on the sedimentary microfacies map, favorable reservoir facies has been predicted. The prediction result indicates that the favorable reservoir facies is located in the joint area of the braid branch channel and the dissolution facies in the early diagenetic stage B period to the middle diagenetic stage A1 period.
