The research of CBM formation included the generation, conservation, migration and deposition. The main conditions of CBM formation include four factor:coal seams thickness, coal ranks, burying depth and conservation condition. Iin Hancheng, these four factors were analyzed and integrative evaluated. It was proved that there are the big coal seams thickness, high evolution, and appropriate rank in the area. Most burying depth is 5004- 1 500 m. Moreover, the area of economical depth and good preservation condition is over 80%. In sum, the formation condition of CBM was superior in Hancheng area and the high enrichment CBM reservoir easily formed.
