THE STUDY OF SYNCLINE CONTROLLING COALBED METHANE IN WANGYING-LIUJIA DISTRICT IN FUXIN COAL FIELD

Through the study of the geological characteristics of coalbed methane in Wangying-liujia district, The mechanical properties of syncline and its controlling of coalbed methane is analyzed. It is illustrated that the syncline is the main controlling factor: the permeability and gas content of the superstratum of syncline is much lower, so it closes over the underlayer of syncline whose permeability and gas content is higher. Therefore, prospecting and exploitation of coalbed methane should be carried through seams in which lies in underlayer of syncline.
