    Because of weak activity, the abundance of noble gas is very low in nature. Their formations are all relative with special nucleus process. This characteristic promote them being as an important tracer of geologic process. It was introduced into research of natural gas geochemistry by Lanzhou Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Science and formed a particular branch of subject noble gas geochemistry. The formation of noble gas are different with hydrocarbon gas, but combining with geologic characteristic.

    Paleozoic marine petroleum is significant exploration domain over the world. The authors conclude the common petroleum geological characteristics of giant petroleum province on Plaeozoic marine abroad, and compare it to that of Sichuan basin.     It is identified that four oil gas injection terms exist for Qianmiqiao buried hill on the basis of the Qianmiqiao buried hill fluid inclusion analysis result, in combination with adjacent Banqiao sag′ tectonic evolution history, oil generating history, the buried hill condensate gas reservoir geochemistry and its distribution features. The first term gas is from lower mature natural gas of Banqiao sag, which time is between Shayi member of Shahejie formation and Dongying formation depositional period.

    Thickness is an important parameter in evaluating caprock. There is not direct relation between thickness and seal abilities of caprock,but it controls each seal ability of caprock in fixed degreen. There is direct proportion relation between thickness and capillary seal ability of caprock or pressure seal ability of caprock, or concentration seal ability of caprock. This paper discussed the relation between thickness and each seal ability of caprock from theory and actual data in oil or gas field.

    Hetianhe gas field, a large-scale carbonate gas pool proved by Branch Company of Tarim Oilfield during the ninth-five-year-plan. The carbonate rock of Ordovician is the principal reservoir. Porosity, cavern and fracture are the dominant types of the reservoir space. Because of exposuring to the land surface for a long time, the reservoir experienced weathering and leaching, alteration of  structure factures by tectonic motions, formed developed weathered crust karst. Twotypes of constructive diagenesis controlling to reservoir capacity greatest arekarstification and facture. The porosity of the reservoir is increased great for the occurrence of solution pores. About 78% of the pores are solution pores. According to intersect relation of the rift, macro- and micro-characteristics of the crack filler in the factures, five periods of struture factures are recognized. The porosity of facture make up 1.5%~3.5% of total porosities, and the permeability make up 99.4% or so.

    The clastic reservoirs of the upper palaeozonic are popularly distributed in the Northern Ordos basin, whereas, the natural gas output of them are instable because of the reservoir heterogeneous According to the main rock forming mineral SiO 2 content’s variation, the clastic reservoirs of the upper palaeozonic can be devided quartz sandstone reservoirs with high silicon, quartz sandstone reservoirs with middle silicon and greywacke reservoir with silicon and aluminum Through integrated analysis.

    Depositional characters are introduced in the middle member of Shahejie Ⅲ in Tiankou and its contiguous block in Linan oil field. Parasequences and interfaces of sequence in the middle member of Shahejie Ⅲ are recognized by lithologic characters, paleobiology, response of logs, accident of lithofacies and residual sediment.     The small scale structure of deep layers in the central area of Tarim basin have good future in petroleum accumulation. But because the structure have lower reality, so geologist is difficult in deciding a well location. If 2 D seismic data is used for doing structure map, this make small scale structure have lower reliable. For added the reliance of small scale structure in 2 D seismic data, we give out processing idea: In time domain, static mistie and the S/N ratio of 2 D seismic data are resolved.

    Deep basin gas reservoir is a kind of gas reservoir with tight sandstone and formed in a unique mechanism Exploration practice and physical modeling results show that the formation of deep basin gas reservoir is controlled by the critical condition which can be expressed quantitatively in the size of the pore throat of the sandstone reservoir Can only the gas accumulate in the tight sandstone to form deep basin gas reservoir if its expansion pressure in the underground is larger.

    The paper briefly introduces the characteristics, expulsion and migration of hydrothermal petroleum in submarine and continental hydrothermal system. The forming temperature of hydrothermal petroleum is from 60℃ to over 400℃,which is higher than conventional oil windows.     The article systematacially analyzes the conditions and characteristics of Taizhou formation’s gas reservoir, discusses its type and model. Through research, we consider there are enough air source, good lap seam and poor reservoir bed. The gas reservoir of Taizhou formation forms lately and is under control by faults, and has good regional lap seam .     It is the first breakthrough of petroleum exploration that the high production of hydrocarbon flow was obtained from the Jurassic reservoir beds in the wildcat well Yingnan 2 in Yingjisu sag in Tarim basin.
